Will RSS Clog The Internet?

Every serious blogger having a bit of traffic success online has probably noticed by now that much of his bandwidth usage on the server is driven by his/her loyal RSS subscribers. These are those people that have elected to read your site news through an RSS feed instead of coming back to the Web multiple times a week. Is this a real issue or is this part of the expected evolutionary path of any new grassroot technology spreading fast and wild?
